Construction

Right ticket. Right site. On the record.

Tendd keeps every worker's White Card, inductions and tickets current, stops a non-compliant placement before the gate, and turns each shift into a clean daily site record. So the gate opens, the builder stays happy, and if anything is ever questioned, the proof is already filed.

Turned away at the gate

A worker fronts up to site and the induction is out of date, or the White Card can't be verified. They don't get through the gate. Your crew is short, the builder is on the phone, and you're scrambling to cover the gap. Worse is the day an incident happens and there's no clean record that the worker was inducted and the SWMS was signed. In construction the cost of getting compliance wrong isn't a complaint — it's a locked gate, a stalled job, or a safety exposure you can't walk back.

The check that happens before the gate

Before you place a worker, Tendd confirms they hold what the job and the site require, and blocks the placement if anything is missing or expired. The win is prevention: Tendd warns you a White Card or induction is lapsing before it becomes a locked gate, so you book the refresher in time instead of finding out at 6am on site. See how compliance gating works.

  • White Card (CPCWHS1001).

Tracked for currency, not just held on file. A White Card lapses if a worker is out of construction for two or more consecutive years, and Tendd handles that rule, not just the card image.

  • Site-specific induction.

Each site can require its own induction. Tendd blocks a placement to a site the worker is not inducted for, with a clear reason and an override path.

  • High-risk work tickets.

Working at heights, EWP, forklift, confined space, asbestos awareness — whatever the task requires, Tendd confirms it is current before the placement.

  • Trade licences and first aid.

Required trade licences and first aid currency checked before every assignment.

  • SWMS sign-on and PPE confirmation.

Safe work method statement sign-on and PPE confirmation tracked per assignment, so the record exists if it is ever needed.

  • Your labour hire licence, surfaced to the builder.

Your licence is included in the record the client receives, which is exactly what head contractors are starting to ask for.

What the worker captures

On their phone, on site, the worker builds a simple daily site record: who was there, that they were inducted and signed on, what was done, and anything that happened. See the proof of service flow.

  • Induction confirmation.

The worker confirms the site induction on their phone before starting, so the record is timestamped and filed.

  • SWMS sign-on.

The safe work method statement is signed on the phone, timestamped and kept with the job.

  • Task or progress checklist.

A fixed checklist for the placement, so what was done is on the record, not reconstructed from memory.

  • Progress photos.

Photographic evidence of work completed, attached to the daily record.

  • Hours logged.

Check-in and check-out give a clean hours record, exportable to CSV for your payroll and billing.

  • Incident or near-miss logged.

Any incident or near-miss is recorded with a photo on site, so the report already exists before anyone asks for it.

Proof that holds up

Your client receives a clean daily record: the worker, the site, the builder, induction and SWMS confirmed, hours, progress photos, and any incident. It is the document that settles a query over coverage or hours, and the record you want to already have if a safety question is ever raised. See the proof of service record.

Labour hire licensing is tightening, and the host is on the hook too

Construction is one of the most affected sectors as Australia's labour hire licensing schemes expand. Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and the ACT require a licence. South Australia widened its scheme to all industries with a 29 July 2026 deadline, and a national framework is being consulted on. Crucially, the builder who engages an unlicensed provider can be penalised too, so head contractors are increasingly demanding proof of your licence and your workers' tickets. Tendd keeps all of it ready to show. Read the labour hire licensing guide and the White Card and site induction guide.

Does Tendd track White Card currency, not just the card?

Yes. A White Card has no printed expiry, but it lapses if a worker is out of construction for two or more consecutive years. Tendd is built to track currency and flag a worker whose card is at risk, not just store an image of it.

Can it handle site-specific inductions as well as White Cards?

Yes. You set the documents each site requires, including its induction, and Tendd blocks a placement to a site the worker is not cleared for, with a clear reason and an override path.

Does it record SWMS sign-on?

Yes. The worker signs on to the SWMS on their phone, and it is timestamped and kept with the job, so the record exists if it is ever needed.

Will it show my labour hire licence to the builder?

Yes. Your licence and the worker's tickets are surfaced in the record the client receives, which is exactly what head contractors are starting to ask for.

Does Tendd do payroll or award rates?

No. It records hours and exports them to a CSV, then stays out of pay, awards and tax, so it works alongside your existing payroll and back-office systems.
